Sound Shapes - My new gaming addiction. Addictive gameplay, stunning music and visuals. The Beck and Superbrothers levels are the real standouts for me. Everyone that has a PS3 or Vita needs this game!
Journey soundtrack today. Great listening experience, pick it up!

The epitome of games as art.
Currently playing the Ico / Shadow of the Colossus remastered collection. I’ve been a huge fan of these games for years and couldn’t pass up the HD remastered versions. These really are classics. The amount of care and attention that was put in this set is so well deserved. Ico has always been one of my favorite games and now playing it in HD you really see the artistry that was put in the game.
I’ve played a lot of great games recently but Ico is still the best I’ve played this year!
Also, as you can see, the collection comes with a reversible cover of the original cover art for Ico. This set should be in everyone’s collection!

Quick Catherine demo thoughts…
Very, very different, I haven’t played a game like it. What surprised me was the theme and issues the game is dealing with. A lot of which hits home as I am getting older, mainly the commitment and children part.
The protagonist has a problem, choose long term girlfriend Katherine with a K who wants him to commit and settle down or go with the new, free spirited and doesn’t want to commit, Catherine with a C. Main gameplay has you solving these tower puzzles that are taking place in your nightmares as you struggle with the choices you need to make. As I said, a very different game that I don’t think would have been made until now.
I’ll be going into the game not leaning one way or the other. It’ll be an interesting psychological test to see where I end up, do I go with commitment or not and what will it say about my current state of mind…
and the music is awesome.
My new gaming addiction, Might and Magic Clash of Heroes. Picked this Strategy RPG/ Puzzler up on the PSN the other day and can’t put it down. Pure crack. 15 bucks, you can’t go wrong!
Portal 2 in hand! PS3 and Steam works great, plus you can’t beat a free pc/mac copy! Now to find some more Steam friends…
